Wind Band Festival
2008 & 2009
The annual Wind Band Festival of the Wind Band Association was hosted by the Capital Concert Band in October 2008 and 2009 in the Erskine Bridge Hotel near Glasgow. It was an eventful and enjoyable weekend from both a musical and a social point of view. Players from various bands across the UK gathered to rehearse and perform a concert programme under the batons of David Marshall and Martin Wills, to be entertained by our guests, the Dunbartonshire Concert Band conducted by Robert Baxter and to enjoy a splendid social time, highlighted by a lively Scottish ceilidh.
